Polyethylene (PE)Advantages: Polyethylene is a chemically inert, non-contaminating translucent material, making it an ideal choice for laboratory, pneumatic controls, instrumentation and hydraulic applications. Polyethylene has exceptional stability, long life, resistance to corrosion, good fatigue and wear resistance. Polyethylene provides good resistance to organic solvents, degreasing agents and electrolytic attack. Polyethylene has a higher impact strength, but lower working temperatures and tensile strengths than polypropylene. Other key benefits of polyethylene are its light weight, resistant to staining, and low moisture absorption rates.
