Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)Advantages: The ultimate for chemical and abrasive resistance, strength and durability. This is a fluorinated thermoplastic which has outstanding resistance to most mineral and organic acids, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, halogenated solvents and oxidizing environments. It also has outstanding aging resistance. It should not be used for such chemicals as acetone, caustic soda, freons, hot petroleum hydraulic oils or synthetic hydraulic oils.
